As the name suggests, Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx is a slot with the familiar Egyptian theme, with the protagonist - Games Global’s take on the Gonzo character - exploring a tomb in the middle of the desert for treasure. The visuals are best described as serviceable, although there are some nice animated flourishes that kick in whenever you land a winning combination.
The paytable consists of 8 paying symbols, plus wild, scatter, and special sphinx symbol. Jungle Jim is the highest paying symbol, followed by the book, box, and vase. On the low-paying side are four games in red, orange, green, and blue. The Jungle Jim logo is the wild, which can substitute for all symbols except the scatter and sphinx. Speaking of the sphinx, we initially thought it’s well and truly lost, but it actually only appears on reel 3 during the free spins round.

Jungle Jim and the Lost Sphinx is a pleasant enough entry in what’s, by this point, a rather repetitive genre. We don’t think it will ever gain the cult status of Book of Dead or Gonzo’s Quest, but the nice visuals combined with the Rolling Reels, Multiplier Trail, and above average 96.1/96.3% RTP should make it worth it to at least give this game a few spins.
