The theoretical RTP is 96.32%, which is well above the average for slot games, and the biggest payout on offer is 10,000x your bet — a pretty solid top prize. The volatility is in the high range, but I won more often than I expected.
While the prizes were generally small, the cascading symbols mechanic often helped line up multiple wins in a row (I’ll explain how it works later in this Tricky Treats review).

As a lifelong lover of Halloween, I was absolutely delighted by Tricky Treats’ seasonal aesthetic and rich atmosphere.
The game pulls you into a colourful, cartoony, and magical world filled with character. There are plenty of little details to feast your eyes on while you play, from the adorable floating ghosts that appear and disappear to the Ferris wheel rotating in the distance. The atmospheric music and sweet sound effects are a perfect fit, too.
On each spin, you’ll see a range of animated sweets across the grid. The Vampire and Frankenstein’s Monster symbols pay the top prizes: 250x your bet for 17+ in a cluster. Super-cute Pumpkin Wild symbols, Instant Prize symbols, and Collector symbols can also land at any time.

Instant Prize Multiplier symbols carry a multiplier of x2, x5, and x10. Each time one of these symbols lands, it multiplies all visible Instant Prize symbols by the amount shown. It then turns into an Instant Prize symbol.
Collector Feature
The Collector symbol picks one random type of paying symbol and attracts them to itself, forming a winning cluster. It can also attract Instant Prize symbols if at least four are on the grid, as well as Wilds.
After creating a winning cluster, Collector symbols transform into a paying or Instant Prize symbol.
Cluster Link
Cluster Links form when multiple Instant Prize symbols group together on the grid.
Free Spins Feature
Land at least three Wild symbols anywhere to trigger the Free Spins feature. Wild symbols and Instant Prize symbols from the base game stay locked on the grid.
Each empty position may show any one of the following symbols: Wild, Wild Multiplier, Instant Prize, Collector, Instant Prize Multiplier, Extra Spin, or Blank. Extra Spin symbols award one or two free spins each and then transform into Instant Prize symbols. Blank symbols don’t stick nor award payouts.
Tricky Treats Final Thoughts
The Tricky Treats slot has a fun design, a terrific atmosphere, and a generous max win. It offered much more depth than I expected when I played it for the first time, with several features to unlock during the base game.
It’s not particularly original nor likely to captivate players who prefer more serious fare, but Tricky Treats is highly entertaining and well structured. Fans of all things Halloween should find plenty to like!
