In the Cookie Bonanza slot game, players spin the reels in a magical world of sweet treats complete with pink frosting, thick cream, and gingerbread buildings. The game is visually very well presented with eye-catching and high-quality graphics. Animations have been used very well in this representation of the candy kingdom, with subtle additions such as icing dripping from the castle, the flowers rustling in the breeze, and so on. These animations bring the game to life but are delicate enough to not distract the eye.
The game features generic, yet inoffensive sound effects, and players can choose to turn off sound before the game loads, which is ideal for on-the-go gamers.
The symbols used in the game include the sweet treats you would expect, and the graphics make the cakes and goodies represented on the reels look particularly delectable.

The cookie jar symbols are eliminated after the end of the cascade, and landing 3 Scatters awards 5 additional Free Spins, allowing for multiple retriggers when playing the bonus.
Super Free Spins
Activating Golden Bet and hitting 4 or more Scatter symbols results in 10 Super Free Spins. During Super Free Spins, Cookie Jar symbols return and a new symbol called the ‘Cookie Wrap’ (a biscuit in rainbow packaging) can appear anywhere on the reels.
When Cookie Wrap and/or Cookie Jar symbols land in a winning cascade, their values are added to the total win of the tumbling sequence, which is multiplied by the outcome. The Cookie Wrap symbol, unlike the Cookie Jar symbol, is sticky, meaning that it will not be removed from the reels between spins and will remain in place for the duration of the bonus. Landing 3 Scatters can re-trigger Super Free Spins, awarding 5 more spins.
Golden Bet
Due to gambling laws, you will need to check whether or not the golden bet feature is permitted in your region, but hopefully so, as it is an integral part of the Cookies Bonanza gameplay. Activating Golden Bet enhances the chances of receiving Free Spins during the base game. It costs double the existing bet and will result in the activation of the Super Free Spins bonus instead of the base free Spins bonus if it is active when the necessary scatters appear.
Bonus Buy (Non-UK Only)
During the base game, there are two possibilities for buying free spins. Purchasing Free Spins costs 100 times the total current stake while purchasing Super Free Spins costs 150 times the total current wager. This feature is not available to UK players due to gambling laws.
Cookie Bonanza Final Thoughts
While the Candyland theme has been used time and time again in the online slots world, Cookie Bonanza by Armadillo Studios still makes a pretty sweet addition to the genre. While its graphics and styling are not revolutionary, they are very pleasing, and I think this is the best addition of animations I have seen in recent slots as in some slot games, animations can be distracting or so low-effort that they are annoying to the player. The subtle animations used in Cookie Bonanza help the scene presented to come to life and add to the immersion factor.
The symbols' reward potential is high, especially as this is a cascading real game with many wins every spin. A fortuitous spin could net players a hefty reward even without activating the free spins bonus.
I wish the game had a character or storyline to enhance its pleasure and immersion, but who knows what Armadillo Studios has in store? A modifier or other special symbol, like a mystery symbol, would also be a welcome addition to base gameplay.
This is me nitpicking, however, as the Cookie Bonanza slot does not leave a sour taste. For these reasons, I give Cookie Bonanza a mouthwatering 8/10.
