When the slot game starts the first thing you need to do is actually choose the bonus games you want to activate. There are five bonus games and you can select up to three. Train Track Feature
The train track above the reels holds several carriages, which either contain nothing or cash values of 1x - 500x. Collect Scatter symbols may land on any reel and award the prize above it. If a Collect Scatter lands on a reel below an empty carriage, no prize will be awarded.
Cash Feature
To trigger the Cash feature, land at least six Cash Prize symbols in the base game. You can also trigger it with five Cash Prize symbols and one Train symbol on the same spin. All symbols that activate the feature stay in place for the entire bonus.
You have three spins to land a new symbol. Only Collect Scatter, Train, and blank symbols may appear in this feature.
Whenever a Collect Scatter or Train lands, it locks in place and resets the spins back to three. Collect Scatters transform into Cash Prize symbols worth the same as the prize in the carriage above.
The Cash feature ends once the reels are filled with non-blank symbols. When this happens, you’ll receive the total value of all visible Cash Prize symbols.
Super Spin Feature
Fill 14 of 15 reel positions in the Cash feature to trigger the Super Spin round. Only Minor, Major, and Grand carriages appear on the track above the reels. But on the grid itself, only Collect Scatter and blank symbols can land.
Gold Strike Express Feature
Landing a Train symbol anywhere during the Cash feature activates the Gold Strike Express bonus. Each train that appears has a random number of prize carriages, and up to five trains may roll onto the track before the feature ends.
Random Modifiers
Cash Prize symbols that land in the base game are added to the game’s logo, and this may trigger at random in the base game. When this occurs, any of the following modifiers will activate:
- Stacked Collect Scatters land on the grid.
- Cash Prize or Train symbols land on the grid.
- Wild symbols land on the grid.
- Cash Prize or Train symbols land, guaranteeing access to the Cash and Gold Strike Express features.
Gold Strike Express Final Thoughts
This is a fairly average mining slot with little to help it stand out. The bonus features are implemented well and work nicely, but you’ve probably seen them elsewhere. And the high volatility can make winning spins sporadic, especially generous ones. The below-average RTP is less than ideal, too.
Fortunately, the game offers a pleasantly surprising top prize of 7,000x your bet, and the visuals are generally excellent. Even if it’s not particularly fresh, this is still an entertaining slot to play.
